Selected entrepreneurs will benefit from:

  • USD 5,000 in non-refundable seed capital
  • World-class entrepreneurship training
  • Personalized mentorship
  • Access to Africa’s largest network of entrepreneurs

This initiative aims to support high-potential founders from the idea stage through to the structuring and growth of their businesses.

Measurable Impact Since 2015

Since its launch, the programme has delivered significant results:

  • More than 24,000 entrepreneurs funded
  • 2.5 million Africans trained
  • 1.5 million jobs created
  • USD 4.2 billion in revenues generated

The TEF also stands out for its strong commitment to inclusion, with 46% women among supported entrepreneurs—an unprecedented rate for a programme of this scale in Africa.

Investing in Youth Rather Than Aid

At the launch of the 2026 edition, the Foundation’s founder and Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu, reaffirmed the programme’s vision:

“Africa’s greatest wealth is its people. Africa does not need aid; it needs investments, especially in its youth. When entrepreneurs are supported, they create jobs, stimulate growth, and transform communities.”

This approach aligns with the philosophy of Africapitalism, which positions the African private sector as the driving force of sustainable development.
